Heidenfest 2012 – wintersun

Als die Finnen WINTERSUN im Jahre 2004 ihr selbstbetiteltes Debüt veröffentlichten, gab es kein Halten mehr: ihre mehr als originelle Mischung aus folkloristischen Elementen, frostiger Pagan-Atmosphäre und einer Basis aus mitreißendem Melodic Death Metal schlug aus dem Stand weg wie eine Bombe ein! Jari Mäenpää und Co. spielten umjubelte Tourneen und können sich bis zum heutigen Tage als absolute Genre-Legenden behaupten! Nachdem WINTERSUN-Fans geduldig auf neues Material ihrer Helden warteten, gibt es nun Licht am Ende des Tunnels: das zweite Album soll noch diesen Sommer erscheinen! Reichlich Arbeit und Herzblut floss in das kommende Folk / Melodic Death Metal-Meisterwerk, und WINTERSUN samt Publikum können die neuen Hymnen auf dem HEIDENFEST 2012 zelebrieren, wo die Finnen als Headliner am Start sind!

„Wir sind mehr als glücklich, bekannt geben zu können, dass wir das HEIDENFEST 2012 im Oktober headlinen werden. Es gab einige Verzögerungen letzten Winter mit dem Album, aber wie üblich konnten wir uns durchsetzen. (Danke auch an unser Management, das uns in schwierigen Zeiten zur Seite stand!) Ich habe mir beim Mixen den Arsch abgearbeitet, und jetzt läuft alles glatt und das Album wird im Sommer erscheinen. Bleibt dran für weitere News zum Album (oder sollten ich Alben sagen? *zwinker*)! When Finns WINTERSUN released their self-titled album in 2004, they were greeted with sheer euphoria: their rather original and gripping concoction of folklore elements, icy pagan atmosphere and a solid base of sophisticated melodic death metal turned out to be an instant smash hit! Jari Mäenpää and co played several more than successful tours and can claim the title as absolute genre legends to this very day! After WINTERSUN fans waited patiently for new material, there finally is a light at the end of the tunnel: the second album is supposed to be released this summer! Be assured a lot of hard work and heart`s blood went into the upcoming folk / melodic death metal milestone and both WINTERSUN and their fans can celebrate this at the band`s headlining stint at the 2012 edition of the HEIDENFEST tour!

„We are very excited to announce that we are going to be headlining the 2012 Heidenfest Tour in October. There was some setbacks with the album during the winter (again), but as usual we have managed to ram through them. (Big thanks to our management for helping us through the tough times!).
